Next stop Nancy

Woke up this morning with the rising sun on the River Rhone. Today we are off to our last stop in France.

Yesterday we went on a picnic with our friends to the Vercors. The car packed with a picnic table, four chairs and a cool box filled with food and drinks we went on our way. Col de Tournesol was the destination.

Along a windy road we kept climbing up until till we arrived at a beautiful spot on a hill-slope under the trees. In the middle of nowhere with only the sound of silence. Billy had the time of his life running up and down the hillside and so did we.

The Vercors is the largest nature reserve in France, dramatic rockscapes and patchwork of rugged valleys are ripe to be explored on foot or by bike.

Nos despertamos esta mañana con el sol naciente en el río Rhône. Hoy nos vamos a nuestra última parada en Francia.

Ayer fuimos de picnic con nuestros amigos a los Vercors. El coche estaba lleno de una mesa de picnic, cuatro sillas y una caja fresca llena de comida y bebidas, nos fuimos de camino. Col de Tournesol era el destino.

A lo largo de un camino ventoso seguimos subiendo hasta llegar a un hermoso lugar en una ladera de una colina bajo los árboles. En medio de la nada, con solo el sonido del silencio. Billy pasó el momento de su vida corriendo arriba y abajo de la ladera y nosotros también.

El Vercors es la reserva natural más grande de Francia, los espectaculares paisajes rocosos y los mosaicos de valles escarpados están listos para ser explorados a pie o en bicicleta.

Vanmorgen werden we wakker met de rijzende zon op de rivier de Rhône. Vandaag gaan we naar onze laatste stop in Frankrijk.

Gisteren gingen we met onze vrienden picknicken naar de Vercors. De auto zat vol met een picknicktafel, vier stoelen en een koelbox met eten en drinken. Col de Tournesol in de Vercorswas de bestemming.

Langs een kronkelende weg rijden we naar een prachtige plek op een heuvel onder de bomen. Zomaar in een weiland met alleen het geluid van de stilte. Billy had de tijd van zijn levenrennen op en neer de vrijheid in en wij ook.

Vercors is het grootste natuurreservaat van Frankrijk en de spectaculaire rotsachtige landschappen en ruige lappendeken vanvalleien om te voet of met de fiets te verkennen.
