Last night I had a lovely dinner with ´ma voisins´, my neighbours. It was a bit of a language problem because I thought it was Sunday night , but we had a huge thunder storm, so I thought, OK next time, because I saw Antoine shrugging his shoulders and I thought it was the French way of saying we´ll do it another day.
On Monday they were still thinking that I had understood that the dinner was not Sunday but Monday, so when I hopped on my bike to go to the bank, Antione thought , has she forgotten our rendezvous?
When I came back he asked me if I had forgotten the dinner invitation and I explained that I thought it was yesterday. Well that’s the fun you have when you don’t fully understand each other, but we had a great night, filet mignon, salad and delicious fresh fruit to top it all off.
Antoine told me he was going to pick strawberries the next morning, and at 5.30 het went off to the mountains, a basket full was the result, mmm… delicious, fresh strawberries for breakfast.
