Finally, after a stop in Doha, Sue and Alex arrived at Malaga Airport. It takes just a half hour trip to our little town, Arroyo de la Miel and to get settled for the tour of Andalucia. we started with a walk through the beautiful park de La Paloma and and then off to the Costa and dinner at restaurant La Sirene. After dinner, Paella, we ended the first day with a walk along the paseo to the marina of Puerto Benalmádena. Tomorrow our trip will take off.

Exploring Andalucia

The love of traveling to far away places started in 2007 when Rudolph and I went on a memory tour Down Under.
Once there we met an incredible lady, Irene Ireland, and made a friend for life.
This trip, her daughter, Sue and son-in-law Alex, are spending a month in our new homeland Spain and asked us if it would be ok if we spent some time together.
Being who we are we immediately became enthusiastic.
This book will be about discovering Andalucia through their eyes.

Traveling around the world is a passion I will never loose. At an early age I migrated with my parents Down Under. In 1965 the whole family went back to Amsterdam where I lived for more than 50 years. My first Auskoogie tour was in 2006/2007 where my mate, Rudolph and I went on my first memory tour. During the years we both have developed itchy feet, always searching for new horizons. We have shared many of them with our followers. Three years ago we decided to leave the Dutch grey skies for the sunny skies of the Costa del Sol. Now, finally settled in our new homeland and with a new motor home we have set our compas to the north, visiting family and old friends.
