More than two months have passed and I,m still sorting out fotos, big problem this digital age. But Auskoogie did a good job on the album, realy super, the 'Waarbenjij.nu' service, thanks guys.
Life goes on and so does our story.
What has kept us busy.
First of all Rick and Miranda, (our son and his wife) kept us busy with their new appartment. It was, and still is, a complete make over, everything had to be broken out and be modernised, bathroom, toilet, kitchen etc. We helped them the fist three weeks so that kept us off the streets. It's a real challenge to them, sometimes a bit overwhelming but they have the right spirit and it's going to be a lovely home to them.
We have also been infected with a bit of redecorating at our house, so just to keep Ruud in practice I have bought a few tins of paint and the place starts to look realy nice.
We have had a very warm spring this year, temperatures sometimes up to 32 degrees, exeptional for Holland and no rain for more than six weeks. The farmers are complaning, the asparagus farmers won't make a profit this year because the warm weather gives such a big harvest that they have to sell below cost price and there is only 30% water left in the trees. To Australian standards this is no big deal but we have such a wet country that everyone panics if the weather goes it's own way and it doesn't rain regulary.
But, everything is OK again because it has been raining all week and the temperature has fallen 20 degrees.
It’s good to hear from you Judy that it has at last started to rain in Narracoorte and I hope in the rest of the country too.
Our friend, Irene from Narracoorte is planning to come to Europe this summer and spend some time with us. It will be lovely to show her around Holland and a peice of Europe. She will then go to England to visit some of her family.
Traveling is still in our system. Next week we are going on a short holiday to the north of Holland, Drenthe, with the camper an at the end of the month 8 days to the island of Kos in Greece.
In July we are going to Tournon, France, with Claudia and Richard and their kids.
Our other passion, next to traveling and Australia is France and last year when we were in Tournon I promised our friends that I would speak beter French, well Marc and Bruno, we have started to learn French. Hope that I can then speak with Agnes an Martine.
So you see, lots of nice things to look forward to.
Well this is it for now,
Greetz from a very wet and dreary Vriday morning.

Joop Mul:
Daughter, Johanna, announced the other day, that she will be meeting up with her friends, in Paris, in September. Son, Martin, explained that he would have loved to have gone then too, but will be in charge, at the recording studio, as his boss will be getting married then.
So, who's back, still, in Sydney. :(

Joop Mul :
When my children were little, their mother and I were very careful (probably extra careful) to be non-sexist but not obsessed about it. (That's why I chose Jo Mulholland, as my 'proper name'.) That's (again) a long introduction to what I wanted to start with, namely:.......
It's a lovely, sunny day here, in Sydney!
(The Strawberry Shortcake books that I read to my daughter all started with....It's a lovely day in ........) :)
Just to clarify my previous comment.
Bob Reed rings me daily and updates me on het coming trip to Europe. Now my daughter has booked to go to Europe in September and there I am, having to stay 'back here', in Sydney, while you all enjoy the northern summer.
Speaking of Bob Reed, I know that today, he's planning to go to the beach again. Yes. It IS the last month of our official autumn but, the sun is shining. Temperature may just go above 20˚C.
My father's been home again from hospital since Wednesday. I'd better not go too far.
Go and enjoy the sun, in the spring garden! Looks great!!! Joop -

Joop Mul :
Heus. De temperatuur gaat NET boven de 20 graden celsius. Mijn Apple Mac maakte iets anders van dat teken voor: graden. :(
