G'day friends,
It was so nice writing and reading the messages while we were in Australia that I think I'm going to keep it up.
Traveling and having international friends is something very special so I'll keep you informed about how life goes on here.
Your names have kept apearing on the site and because everyone was able to share in our adventure people over here are asking who's Joop or David and all the others who have reacted, so maby this way we can keep the fire burning till we're back again.
Life over here has kept us busy. When we arrived home the family wanted to see all the information we had gatherd, so the same day the house was packed with the family.
Judy, I made your mum's country pie and you can tell her that it was a great success. We went to visit Zita yesterday and she was very pleased with the presents from your mother. I'll see what information I can get on the Rhine holidays over here, that way we can compare notes. Like I told you we will be happy to have you stay at our place if and when you decide to come to Europe.
We had three birthdays to celebrate on the weekend and David and his mother Margaret are comming over to stay with us this week and see some of the Dutch country side in the spring, so you see life goes on as if we had never left.
Joop a lot of poeple asked me who you are and I told them your history, if you like I can ask around if anyone would like to get to know you better through the internet.
David like you told us you still have plans to go to Australia and it's always nice to have connections overthere. We certainly had a great time meeting everyone and getting an inside look in the Astralian way of life.

Hi there guys! Yes, I do have plans on Australia and connections, as I've found out here...is vital to success when you make a move to live in Oz. I promise myself that in a few years I'll be there, sipping champers on the beach on xmas day in my shorts and t-shirt! haha. I'm still hoping to get into wine, met the head's of the local wine companies in a party, 3 owners at the same time! haha, so they promised to try and get me in, finger's crossed, that will be a great way to get into Oz! :) see you soon! dikke knuffel, as you say in Holland! :) -

Ik vond het heel erg leuk om jouw verslag te lezen. Wat een schitterende reis, je foto's geven een goede impressie.
Via Joop Mul heb ik doorgekregen dat je contact zoekt met Nederlandse Aussies.
Ik ben in 1956 geboren in Leonora, West Australie. Vijf jaar later zijn wij; vader, moeder en zus naar Nederland vertrokken.
Ook ik zoek contact met Nederlandse Aussies.

't Is ANZAC Day and it has been wet and cool, in Sydney. Feels wintery. Am I jealous of certain people who spend parts of summers in both halves of the world? Of course not (much)! :)
Meanwhile, another lady has found me, via the DACC website and now she and her husband are on their way to Australia, where she too lived as a little girl.
I believe that the enthusiasm and the energy that you two showed for your sentimental journey is going to be hard to beat!
We'll see.
Now we'll have to keep exchanging messages here, to keep Auskoogie going!!!

ik ben ook in austalie geboren ik ben op vele plekken geweest waar jullie ook zijn geweest philip island,ballart twelve apostels blue lake puffng biiy daar heb ik vlak bij gewoont. grampians and adelaide.ik ben al 2 keer met mijn man naar austalie geweest.wij verblijven bij familie in dandenong.hopen nog een keer terug te gaan.groetjes een aussie -

wat een geweldige reis hebben jullie gemaakt.ik ben zelf ook in australie geboren wij mijn man en ik zijn al 2 keer terug geweest.wij zijn ook in ballarat,twelve apostels,blue lake.grampions en zijn ook in adelaide geweest.als we gaan zijn we bij familie die laten ons dan alles zien.hopen nog een keer te gaan. groetjes hilly
