Yesterday we went on a bus tour through the countryside. Sauerland does not mean country where sauerkraut comes from but means the most southern part of West-Falen in Germany.
The countryside looks wonderful all covered in snow, like a Christmas postcard. We were just out of Bilstein and there was some trouble on the road. A Polish lorry driver had forgotten to fit on his winter tires and couldn’t make it up the hill. Help came soon, a shovel cleared the road and we he was on the road again, so were we.
Sauerland has many ski pistes, a bob sleigh parcours, ski jumps and a cable car to the top of the pistes. The highest point is just under 900 meters.
The weather will stay sunny the whole weekend so we will be taking plenty of photos. Keep tuned in and enjoy the photos.
