The university was built after the 1884 World Fair of New Orleans and is the extension of the Garden District, the Yankee side of New Orleans. The former grounds of the exhibition was transformed into Audubon park in the tradition of “bringing nature into the city”. Every big city should have nature within its boundaries and the elite used it to educate the poor by showing them culture and the beautiful side of nature. Winding paths and small lakes, always a place where music can be listened to.
Our tour of the city took us from the park and Garden District with its beautiful mansions to the former Warehouse district, the Central Business District and ended with the River Walk, a touristy entertainment area with a covered market with small shops.
We had great fun watching how Fudge was made and after five hours of what I call a survival of the fittest tour we called it a day.

Joop Mul:
You survived!!!! :)
Well done!
"Professors are fully responsible for the students." sounds more like we (Well, while I was not retired yet) PRIMARY school teachers being responsible for, not only teaching the pupils all the subject areas but also their well-being, while in our care.
As secondary teachers seem to be more responsible for the subject content rather than the student, it sounds a bit like "full-circle".
