G'Day,
Siga, Siga is something like "no worries, mate". The sun is shining and we have just come back from the thermal springs. A short, but steep winding road along the coast to find way down below a small pool of very hot water. The local people say that you live forever if you go in to the water, so off we went, with a whole busload of tourist, to seek 'eternal life'. The water was realy hot, up to 75 degrees at the entrance where the water comes from under the ground. There was one guy, he must have been a fakir, just letting himself slowly cook. It was a great experience.
The rest of the day we spent just lazing at the small stony beach.
Tonight we'll have dinner and see the sunset at Zia, something that we have been planning for a long time but never make the time for it.
The day with Jimny was great, went to Zia and did all our shopping. Rick we found your slippers, the last pair in your size. Had lunch at the Taverne, special pork from the Bar-B-Q, then to Mastihari and saw the little boat take the tourists to Kalymnos. We fell asleep on the beach on a nice bed of soft seeweed, so lost a good part of the afternoon, but siga, siga, no worries, we packed up the car and went to Tigaki. Not realy a place for us, very touristy, bars everywhere and a lot of Dutchies.
We decided not to have dinner here but go to the Thermes for a snack meal and to see what it was like. The Giros pitta was great and the company too. Sara, a baby turtle was the main attraction to get customers. The guy from the taverne told us that they save them from being captured and eaten by the birds, after the summer they set them back on the mountains.
Still two days to go, so that's it for now.

You brought back this little flash of memories. I had a few little filmstrips, when I was very young, in Gouda. One was about that water and it was my first impression of exotic life, outside Holland. The little basic filmstrip projector was a far cry from this iMac but I was showing other kids pictures then, but only in my neighbourhood and now we are sharing pictures across the world. :)
