Ruud and I would like to thank all the lovely people who have made this memory back in time an unforgettable journey.
Revisiting all the places where I used to live and showing them to Ruud has given me great pleasure. I can now close that book and even better I have started a new one. This search has given me so much inspiration.
First of all I will try to add my little contribution to the history of Burgess House. It was so nice Lisa that you invited us in to see your home. It's a good feeling to know that the house was still there and that it is now home to you and your lovely family. I hope you live there as happy as I have when it was my home and please also thank your husband Will for the copies of the history on the house.
Vic, like we talked about when we met on our last day, there are so many former Australian immigrants in Holland and I feel that they must have a lot of stories that are still untold. My search will go on. The book that you have given me will be my starting point.
Also Irene, Judy, John and your family, Sue and Alex and the two girls, Peter and his family thank you all for letting us see how life is in the great outdoors. John, next time we'll go fishing.
Irene we will visit Zita on Sunday and give her your presents. We will have a lot to talk about. How are the cows? have they calved yet? Have you had any rain? Well it has rained a lot over here, the fields are like swamps and it's cold outside. But I have heaps of fotos to organise so I'll be busy for the next few weeks.
Ken, the next time we come we hope to walk the Golden Mile with you again, be seein'you.
Lisa and Will, Thanks to you all.
I don'' know if I have given my e-mail address, to everyone but here it is: r.hoeben@chello.nl
Hope to hear how life goes on down under. We hope to be back again in the spring of 2008 so I will keep the Auskoogie site on to let you know how life goes on over here.

Joop Mul :
In 1964 I faced my first class of primary school pupils. In those days, quite happily called a 5B. From the beginning I used my piano accodion to get kids to sing. So, Morningtown Ride was, of course, one of the first songs that I taught the class.
I could almost do the same as you, Marion. Those 37 years of teaching and being kept young by kids was a great ride.
I think I mentioned to you that in 1997, I visited the municipal library, in Rotterdam and using my cousin's card, borrowed a good boo on remigration and its effects. Best wishes for your research!
